Francesine shoes

Men's Oxford shoes are ideal for those seeking a formal and sophisticated style. Also known as the Oxford model, they are the most popular and well-known shoes among lovers of timeless classic footwear. The name Oxford comes from the fact that the first people to wear this shoe were wealthy students at the English university. They are by far the most elegant shoes: those that know how to enhance the style and refinement of the wearer.

They differ from other shoes, especially men's Derby shoes, because they have a closed lacing system; the vamp, where the eyelets for the laces are located, is sewn under the tongue. You can find them plain or decorated at the toe, and it is precisely this style variation that makes the Oxford an incredibly versatile and sought-after shoe.

When pairing with a refined suit, a tailored outfit, a tuxedo, or when the occasion is particularly formal, the best, almost mandatory, choice is the Oxford. In patent or polished leather, the sobriety of its line cannot disappoint expectations, refining an outfit without going overboard.

Besides the classic plain Oxford, the same elegance is conveyed by the one with a toe cap, characterized by the addition of an extra element highlighted by a central seam above the toe.

And if we are talking about playfulness and imagination, the Brogue, the most popular Oxford model, cannot go unmentioned. The famous flower perforation, combined with the iconic herringbone stitching – also found in Derby shoes – characterizes and embellishes the Oxford, making it a shoe full of personality. Certainly, this shoe gives a strong touch of personality and style to the outfit, becoming its focal point. The Brogue is indeed the type of shoe that catches the eye!
